Exploring the Delights of Burton Mill Pond in West Sussex

Views:222|Rating:5.00|View Time:11:20Minutes|Likes:43|Dislikes:0
Julia Hartley and I are taking an enthusiastic stroll around the picturesque Burton Mill Pond, a holding pond for the once productive mill of the same name in the Burton Park Estate.

Passing from the old lodge house, we find evidence of its former glory in a delightful avenue of ancient and colossal sweet chestnut trees.

The pond is just south of Petworth and close to the village of Duncton. It is also part of Burton Park Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) designated nationally important for its wetland habitats, rare plants, birdlife, and invertebrate populations. Chingford Pond is designated a Site of Nature Conservation Importance (SNCI).

THE SHARER FAMILY EXPLORED A HAUNTED ABANDONED HOTEL AT THE BEACH AND IT WAS SUPER EPIC! CHECK OUT THIS EPIC SHARE THE LOVE VLOG!

Today Stephen Sharer and his sister, Grace Sharer are on their way traveling from the sharer family house in Virginia to the beach at the Stone Harbor, New Jersey shore. The trip to get to the beach is a long drive so during the Sharer Fam car ride, Grace Sharer started snacking. Grace was snaking so hard, just like her brother Carter Sharer that the Sharer Family got lost on their way to the beach. Steven pulled off on the side of the road and found an abandoned hotel. This hotel became abandoned for some reason so Stephen and his sister Grace decided to go explore this abandoned hotel and see if it is haunted or just run down. SO Stephen hopped out of the car and Grace followed along. The Sharer Fam started exploring all of the different hotel rooms, one after another. Before they knew it, they started exploring and finding all of these haunted type of items in the hotel, They saw a haunted book laying on the shelf, a haunted light switch and as the Sharer Family kept exploring the hotel got even more haunted!! If you saw the book, comment #Haunted and what that book said! Should the Sharers explore this haunted hotel at 3am challenge? Or should the sharers leave this haunted hotel and go straight the the beach?

After Vy Qwaint and I, Chad Wild Clay started FOLLOWING LIE DETECTOR GUY with Tracking Device (Found Evidence of Project Zorgo in Real Life) we then tried CONFRONTING LIE DETECTOR HACKER (Evidence of Project Zorgo Unboxing Abandoned Mystery Box Treasure). He was very suspicious but said he was not the YouTube hacker even though our spy robot Boxer, found a mystery clue where the mysterious lie detector man was. We planted a tracking device in his pocket but somehow he trapped us with it. While exploring we found an abandoned treasure chest hidden in the bushes in a town, similar to the one we found metal detecting in the desert where Zorgo’s map led. We broke into the safe in awesome ebay mystery box fashion by chopping and slicing it with ninja weapons like a true fruit ninja. Inside was a clue that our house seems to be haunted with a ghost at 3am. How long has the house been hacked? Longer than 24 hours would be very scary. We need to make sure we defeat the hacker before we need to escape in our Tesla! Thank you for watching my PG entertainment family friendly comedy videos for kids in 2018!

An ALCTS webinar.

Are you unsure about how (or whether) to apply RDA to rare materials? This webinar will present an overview of RDA provisions related to rare materials, including both bibliographic and authority records, and will explore how well RDA and Descriptive Cataloging of Rare Materials (DCRM) can be used together to describe rare materials. The webinar will reflect work sponsored by the ACRL Rare Books and Manuscripts Section’s Bibliographic Standards Committee, including a white paper prepared by the presenters.

Originally presented on May 23, 2012 by Robert Maxwell and John Attig.

Join us as we explore a bit of historic downtown. If I wasn’t traveling I would have been tempted to purchase some cute antiques for my home but instead we got coffee and chocolate.

I can’t stop thinking about those mugs – I don’t need them right?

The WoodenBoat Research Library offers a rich resource for all scholars of boats and boat design. Of particular interest is the rare book cabinet, where our Director of Research keeps some of our most cherished books, plans, and periodicals under lock and key.
Come with us to explore these treasures of maritime history. We’ll visit Dixon Kemp’s tome on yachting in the 1890s, and examine the large wooden ship construction methods photographed by Cole Estep. We’ll take a close look at the collected artworks of Warren Sheppard, C.G. Davis, Charles Pears, and other artists who illustrated the books and newspapers of their time. We’ll take you into the collections of cherished periodicals, such as The Rudder and Forest and Stream, to see what is buried there for us to unearth and enjoy today.
